About Us

History

Founded in 1975, by John Hammersley, AirConstruct (Group), the business has grown from a small 'one man band' to a substancial business with a significant blue chip client base.

The current Chairman, Mr. Nigel Tongue, joined the company in 1987 and was promoted to director in 1993. He has continued the gradual growth of the company, ensuring the price, service
and quality remain top priorities.

Our Quality Statement

AirConstruct (Group) aims and objectives are to provide its clients with a service that meets the following criteria:

We're vitally concerned with the quality and reliability of our service, because our reputation depends so much on this. Our underlying principle is to sustain long-term, productive relationships through good service, and never to lock customers in with hidden contract clauses.

We maintain and enhance our service quality by working in a systematic and flexible manner to procedures designed to control and eliminate the occurrence of non-conformances. For example, our working procedures require specifications for all tasks we conduct, so that tasks are carried out in a quality way.

It is the responsibility of the Directors to ensure that all such procedures are clearly documented and implemented.

Our management team regularly review the Quality Management System to ensure its continuing suitability and effectiveness. From these reviews, we undertake corrective or preventative action when inadequacies are found.

The practices to ensure consistent high level quality have been formalised in our Quality Management System.

Staff

AirConstruct (Group) is large enough to take on the biggest of contracts, but the family culture fostered within the company means the service offered to clients is like a family run business. All staff be they receptionists, estimators, directors andfactory operatives all work together as a team to offer an excellent service to our clients. We operate a quality circles system with a deep belief in continuous improvement.
